Reflection

Reflection

My primary school teacher told me that those who believe will achieve.  This semester, I learned that he was right. I enrolled in this class with a growth mindset.  From the beginning, I believed that I would learn helpful, new things.  I learned new information that I feel will help me integrate technology into my future classroom.  I learned that there are platforms such as Seesaw that assist in accessing lessons and exchanging feedback.  I learned that Fair use rules will help me in other courses in the education program.  It allows me to use copyrighted material for limited educational purposes.

I believe that my future students will succeed.  This semester, I took notes about what my future students will need to succeed. They will need access to reliable technology and the best information available. They will need to believe that they will learn. I believe that they will learn.  We will build on knowledge and learn together.  In the future, I would like to learn more about rubrics.  They are not only scoring guidelines to consistently evaluate student work.  They are much more than that.  They are a set of criteria that both students and educators can use to promote and monitor progress.  Technology can play an important role in the use of rubrics. Technology has changed the way progress can be monitored.  Compared to my K-12 learning, technology in the classroom has advanced greatly. Computers are now more sophisticated and efficient.

I believe that the information provided in this course will be very helpful in my future classroom.  This course provided useful information about the use of computers and technology software. Some things in this course could have been taught differently; however, I do not wish that any would have been.  I feel that the teachings were sufficient.  Useful information about hybrid learning was introduced.  I feel that learning in a hybrid environment is a wonderful way to integrate technology and adjust learning according to the current needs of educators and families.  My attitude toward technology in the classroom was neutral in the beginning of the semester.  Now I am strongly for its use and I believe that it will be used more often.
